The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds about the possibility to legalize the remaining jewelry items made of precious metals that were imported or produced without primary documents. This measure will relieve entrepreneurs from liability and obligations as a tax agent.
According to representatives of the agency, the initiative is aimed at organizing the jewelry market, creating more transparent conditions for business, and reducing the administrative burden on honest taxpayers.
As part of the legalization process, reduced rates of assay fees for testing and hallmarking of products are in effect. Thus, for gold, platinum, and palladium jewelry, both domestic and foreign production, including used items, the fee is 10 soms per unit. For silver items, this amount is 8 soms.
To take advantage of the exemption from liability, it is necessary to issue an electronic document in the electronic invoice system by March 1, 2026.
For this, the taxpayer should log into the system, select the "Acquisition" section and the DPBU subsection, then click "Add" and choose the option to enter information about precious jewelry items. The main details will be generated automatically, and only the product part of the document will need to be filled out.
The tax service emphasizes that the electronic document cannot be changed and cannot be declared invalid, so it is essential to enter all data carefully and without errors.
