Additionally, the Ministry of Natural Resources reported that 2005 licenses for subsoil use had previously been issued, of which 103 belong to state enterprises.
According to previously published data, there are more than 1000 deposits and occurrences of mineral resources in Kyrgyzstan, covering 51 types of mineral raw materials, including gold, silver, copper, antimony, tungsten, and rare earth minerals.
In the first nine months of the previous year, the inflow of foreign direct investment in the mining sector amounted to $190.3 million, which is 21.5% of the total FDI in the country's economy.
The dynamics of investment in the mining sector demonstrated impressive growth, increasing to 203.5% compared to the same period in 2024, as noted by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
It was also emphasized that among the most promising deposits are Kutessai II, Kalesai, Kyzyl-Ompol, Northern Akbash, as well as the bauxite deposits of Zardalek and Katranbashi.
