Stable Growth
In 2024, the GDP of Kyrgyzstan was approximately 1.6 trillion soms, reflecting an increase of 11.5% compared to January - December 2023.GDP Structure
In 2025, the gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan was formed as follows:
Goods Prices
One of the main issues remained the rising prices of goods and services, which concerned citizens. From January to December 2025, the growth of consumer prices and tariffs was 9.4% compared to December 2024, as reported at a press conference in Bishkek by the chairman of the National Statistics Committee, Baktybek Kudaybergenov.Additionally, the average nominal salary in November 2025 reached 42,954 soms, increasing by 19.1% compared to January - November 2024.
Despite the growth in nominal incomes, the real purchasing power for many remains in question. For example, in Bishkek, the cost of a square meter of housing increased by 26.8%, while in Osh it rose by 37%. Thus, for those planning to buy an apartment or house, it is becoming increasingly difficult. The increase in electricity tariffs also significantly affected the financial situation of citizens: starting May 1, the price for 1 kWh rose from 1.11 to 1.37 soms, which exceeded the growth rate of salaries by 23.4%, creating additional difficulties for low-income families.
Decline in Foreign Trade
According to the latest data, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover from January to November 2025 amounted to $14 billion 19.4 million, which is 12.2% lower compared to the same period in 2024.The decline in exports was primarily due to a decrease in gold shipments (by $1 billion 531.5 million).
Trade with EAEU countries amounted to $4.9 billion (+1.3%), with the largest share coming from Russia (64.1%) and Kazakhstan (33.5%).
