When asked about the possibility of "China's dominance" in areas such as artificial intelligence, electric vehicle manufacturing, and humanoid robots, Musk replied that without revolutionary changes in the U.S., China will take the lead. "In the absence of breakthrough technologies in the U.S., China will be able to completely dominate," he stated.
Musk also emphasized that China's population, which is four times larger than that of the U.S., puts the United States at a disadvantage. "We cannot win based solely on human resources," he added. He noted that the U.S. is experiencing a "long-term decline in birth rates." "However, the problem is not just about population size; in China, people perform a much larger volume of work, and the productivity per capita there is significantly higher," Musk emphasized.
Additionally, the entrepreneur pointed out China's strong position in the extraction of rare earth metals.
