The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the start of the digitalization of agrochemical control. On February 5, 2026, a resolution was issued amending the rules for pesticide registration, which now allows all necessary documents to be submitted in electronic format.
This reform is part of the Concept for the Digital Transformation of the Country for 2024–2028. The main objective is to reduce paperwork in the agricultural sector and ensure maximum transparency in the examination process.
Changes that will affect businesses and the government:
Electronic submission of documents: applicants will now be able to submit their documents remotely, reducing administrative burdens and eliminating bureaucratic obstacles.
Increased transparency: every stage of registration and examination can now be tracked online, significantly reducing the risks of corruption.
Creation of a unified database: a common electronic database of all approved pesticides and agrochemicals is being formed in Kyrgyzstan, with access becoming simpler and faster.
Environmental monitoring: the digitalization of processes will help improve the control over the quality of products entering the market, which is directly related to public health and environmental protection.
The introduced innovations aim to enhance the openness of government agencies and create a modern accounting system for chemical substances used in the country's agriculture.
