In Kyrgyzstan, the level of readiness of agricultural machinery for spring fieldwork is 82%, which is 2% higher than last year's figure.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, there are currently over 92,000 units of agricultural machinery registered in the country, including 22,428 tractors, 1,960 grain harvesters, and other machines. Preparation for the spring work of 2026 is actively underway in the regions, where technical maintenance and repair of machinery are being carried out.
Of the prepared machines, 17,959 tractors (80%), 82% of plows, 78% of seeders, 82% of harrows, and 86% of fertilizer spreaders are ready. It is expected that more than 8,000 tillage units and over 3,000 sowing units will participate in fieldwork. On average, the availability of agricultural producers with machinery is about 71%, leaving a deficit of 29%.
In recent years, state measures to renew the machine and tractor fleet through leasing have positively impacted the situation. Since 2011, under the auspices of the Cabinet of Ministers, preferential conditions (6% per annum for up to 7 years) have been provided with the help of OJSC "Aiyl Bank" and OJSC "Eldik Bank." To date, 10,511 units of machinery have been transferred for a total of 29 billion soms. In 2026, machinery worth 584 million soms (854 units) has already been transferred, and by the end of the year, it is planned to transfer over 2,000 units for a total of 7 billion soms.
There are 186 machine and tractor stations (MTS) actively operating in the country, of which 2 are state-owned, 63 are municipal, and 121 are private. These stations have more than 4,000 units of agricultural machinery at their disposal.
Inventory shows a steady increase in the number of agricultural machinery in the republic, which has been made possible by successful leasing projects and direct purchases by farmers. According to tax and customs authorities, over 8,000 units of agricultural machinery of various models were imported into the country over the year.
