The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has presented the results of its extensive program for updating the machinery and tractor fleet. Since the launch of leasing initiatives in 2011, 9,725 units of specialized equipment have been transferred to farmers. The total investment in the modernization of agriculture amounted to 27.7 billion soms, of which 81.4 million soms were allocated for the first deliveries in 2026.
Currently, there are seven leasing programs operating in the republic through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank." The terms of these programs are considered some of the most favorable in the region: farmers can obtain various types of agricultural machinery and processing equipment at an annual interest rate of 6% for a period of up to 7 years. This approach helps farmers effectively carry out fieldwork and improve the quality of the produced goods without creating significant financial burdens.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry emphasizes that systematic re-equipment remains an important priority. Supporting producers through preferential leasing not only strengthens the technical capabilities of farms but also lays the foundation for the stable development of the entire agricultural sector of the country.
