Recently, a meeting was held at the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan with representatives of a business delegation from Japan. The participants focused on the development of bilateral economic interaction and the prospects for deepening investment cooperation.
As a result of the negotiations, both sides expressed interest in further cooperation and agreed on the need to continue discussions on specific investment initiatives.
During the meeting, the Japanese partners were presented with the investment climate in Kyrgyzstan, including existing government support measures, tax and legal preferences, as well as guarantees for the protection of investments. Additionally, the mechanisms for project implementation and available institutional support tools were clarified.
Particular attention was given to key sectors of the economy, such as energy, infrastructure, industry, the agro-industrial complex, and digital transformation. Participants were also informed about ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business climate and creating transparent conditions for investors.
An expert from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) emphasized Kyrgyzstan's investment potential, its strategically advantageous geographical location, and opportunities to access markets in neighboring regions.
