
Recently, a meeting took place between the head of the National Investment Agency under the President, Ravshanbek Sabirov, and Sodnom Ganhuuyag, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan. The parties discussed important aspects of expanding cooperation in the field of trade and investment.
During the discussion, the details of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed on October 24, 2024, between the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan and the National Investment and Trade Agency of Mongolia, were reviewed.
The discussion covered many areas, including industry, agriculture, tourism, the "green" economy, and digital technologies. The participants of the meeting also emphasized the need to create favorable conditions for joint projects and improve the investment climate.
Ravshanbek Sabirov stressed that Kyrgyzstan views Mongolia as an important partner and is actively working on improving legislation in the field of investments. In particular, this concerns the laws "On Investments in the Kyrgyz Republic," "On Public-Private Partnerships," and the draft law "On Venture Financing."
Additionally, the participants discussed the possibility of creating joint productions in the light and textile industries, as well as in the processing sector. Achievements resulting from the state visit of the President of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan in July 2025 were also reviewed, including the organization of business missions and investment events.
At the conclusion of the meeting, mutual readiness for further development of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries was confirmed.
