Women in the new buildings of Bishkek and Osh will receive 5 million soms for business ideas

Winners of the competition have been determined in the cities

In Bishkek and Osh, women entrepreneurs will be allocated 5 million soms to implement their business ideas. The competition, held as part of the Swiss project "Araket," has completed its final stage in these cities.

The final stages of the competition took place on February 24 in Osh and March 2 in Bishkek, where pitching sessions were held. These events served as the final selection of participants who will be able to receive small grants to develop their businesses. The main goal of the competition is to support women living in new residential areas of Bishkek and Osh and to create opportunities for their economic growth through entrepreneurial activities.

As a result of the selection, 11 winners from Bishkek and 5 from Osh were chosen, who will receive grants to start or expand their businesses. Each of them will be provided with the necessary equipment for a successful start or scaling. The grant amounts range from 200,000 to 350,000 soms per participant.

The projects presented by the winners cover a variety of sectors, including:

Thus, within the framework of the current stage of the project, 16 business initiatives will be supported for a total amount of up to 5 million soms.

The "Araket" project is funded by the Swiss government and is implemented in Kyrgyzstan by the consulting group GFA in close collaboration with local partners in 11 new residential areas in Bishkek and Osh.
