The Audit Chamber of Kyrgyzstan has completed an audit of the budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare, and Migration, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024. The agency reported on the results of the inspection.
The purpose of the audit was to assess compliance with legislation in the expenditure of budgetary funds, to check financial discipline, and to verify the accuracy of accounting.
During the audit, financial violations and deficiencies were identified, with a total amount of 36 million 560.3 thousand soms. Of this amount, 11 million 225.4 thousand soms were related to improper accounting practices.
Some violations were already rectified during the audit process, and it was possible to recover 2 million 12.4 thousand soms.
The audit also uncovered violations in the accounting procedures, as well as issues with the accounting of fixed assets and the failure to reflect certain material values in the accounting balance.
Additionally, cases were identified related to the appointment and payment of state benefits, as well as the inefficient use of budget resources.
As a result of the audit, corrections were made to the accounting records to address the identified issues.
Following the inspection, recommendations were sent to the Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare, and Migration aimed at eliminating violations and enhancing financial discipline and the effective use of budgetary funds.
