Borrowers will be able to choose between two interest rates: 4% or 8% per annum
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved the project "Preferential Financing of Auto Loans - 3," as reported by the government agency.
The goal of this initiative is to support local car manufacturers and stimulate demand for vehicles and trucks assembled in the country.
The project will be implemented over 60 months with a total budget of 1 billion soms.
Funding will come from the republican budget, as well as from the funds of OJSC "Eldik Bank" and OJSC "Aiyl Bank." The project is expected to start in February 2026.
The lending conditions include two interest rates:
- 4% per annum for employees of government institutions, local self-government bodies, and the social budget sector (term of 36 or 60 months);
- 8% per annum for other borrowers (also with a term of 36 or 60 months).
The supplier of vehicles under this project is designated as LLC "DT Technik." The maximum loan amount is up to 5 million soms for individuals and up to 300 million soms for legal entities, government structures, and local self-governments.
The purchased vehicle will be used as collateral, and in case of insufficient own contribution, it is possible to attract a guarantee from OJSC "Guarantee Fund."
The initial contribution must be at least 20% for a loan amount of up to 3 million soms and no less than 30% for amounts exceeding this threshold (also for legal entities and government institutions).
In 2026, banks are required to provide preferential loans totaling 1 billion soms, divided into two parts of 500 million soms each. Financial institutions are recommended not to charge additional fees and commissions when implementing preferential lending or financing in accordance with Islamic principles.
