Addressing Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, he noted that many sports facilities are undergoing repairs, and events have already been scheduled for the entire upcoming year at the renovated "Zhashtyk-Arena," including concerts and sports events.
“Many facilities are currently being restored. We only have the Sports Palace left, which also houses an Olympic-standard swimming pool. If the Sports Palace had the opportunity to self-finance, it could repair the pool, open a sauna, and even set up a football field. It is located in the city center, but its condition leaves much to be desired,” Sagynayev noted.
In response, Moldazhiyev stated that there is already an instruction from the president regarding the Sports Palace. “During the opening of the ‘Zhashtyk-Arena,’ President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich instructed to carry out repairs and reconstruction of the Sports Palace while preserving its architectural features. The status of the Sports Palace will remain the same. The head of state has instructed the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, to find funds for the repairs. This issue has already been included in the plans, and I hope that this year we will start the work — in the near future,” he added.
