Last year, over 8,000 sports events were held in the country
As reported by Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on science, more than 40% of Kyrgyzstan's residents regularly engage in sports and physical culture.
Moldazhiyev also noted that in 2025, 8,366 sports events were organized, with more than 428,000 citizens and athletes participating.
Among the popular sports in the country are football, volleyball, athletics, and strength training. Additionally, various sports sections, outdoor workout areas, and fitness centers are actively developing.
