The opening ceremony is scheduled for August 31, and this event will coincide with the anniversary summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. After the ceremonial opening, all participants will be transported to Cholpon-Ata, where the main competitions will begin on September 2, with the games concluding on September 6.
The games will take place at four locations in Cholpon-Ata: the racetrack, the Gazprom complex, the cultural center "Rukh Ordo," named after Ch. Aitmatov, and in the Kychyn Gorge.
The program of events covers eight main areas, including national games of the peoples of the world, horse racing, equestrian competitions, various types of wrestling, traditional strength sports, intellectual competitions, archery with traditional bows, as well as national hunting with trained birds and dogs.
As Moldazhiyev noted, the VI World Nomad Games will feature 43 types of national and traditional sports.
