Today, at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Science, Education, and Culture, it was announced that 35 million soms were spent on the production of the national series "Kara Kyrgyz."

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture expressed concern regarding previously circulated media information that the costs amounted to 40 million soms, which turned out to be inaccurate.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev reported that the first episode has already been aired on UTRK.

“Nevertheless, the Department of Cinematography has temporarily suspended the airing of the following episodes. This was due to identified technical errors during the broadcast. A special commission has been created to address these issues, and the series will return to the air after all shortcomings are rectified,” he added.

Deputy Bolo Saginayev noted that "Kyrgyzfilm" produces many films, for which significant funds are allocated.

“However, not all of them demonstrate their effectiveness. It is important to develop public-private partnerships with production studios, which today are the main drivers of success in cinematography. These studios can create films on order at a significantly lower cost than 'Kyrgyzfilm' does,” he emphasized.
