According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, on December 2, after the extraordinary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, a video was published on social media reporting a possible attempt at vote-buying.
The video was likely filmed in the rural area of Datka in the Kara-Suu district (electoral district No. 8).
The incident has been registered with the Kara-Suu district internal affairs department, and a preliminary investigation has been initiated.
As part of the investigation, the identities of the people captured in the video have been established.
In their explanations, they noted that they are not campaigners for any candidate and rent a grocery store located in that area. They also clarified that the money in the video represents the proceeds from their store, which they were giving to their daughter.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
