The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the United Kingdom signed a memorandum regarding critical minerals, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
This memorandum was the result of a working visit by a delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by Nurbek Tashbekov, head of the Department of Political and Economic Research of the Presidential Administration. The visit took place as part of participation in the "Resources of Tomorrow 2025" forum, which was held in London during the annual Mining Week.

During the meeting with Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for Europe and North America, current issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including opportunities to increase mutual investments and develop joint projects.

As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed, aimed at developing cooperation in the field of critical minerals between the two countries.

This document includes aspects of geological studies, the implementation of modern environmental and management standards, as well as the exchange of experience and the development of business contacts.

The signed memorandum opens new horizons for deepening Kyrgyz-British relations, contributes to the expansion of economic cooperation, and provides additional opportunities for attracting investments in the field of critical minerals.
