The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has expressed concern regarding the actions of the Japanese Armed Forces, which they believe threaten China's security. The Japanese authorities are allegedly trying to distort reality by making unfounded accusations against the Chinese side, reports TASS.

“It is absolutely clear that regular reconnaissance flights and actions by Japanese fighters approaching areas where Chinese military exercises are being conducted pose a serious threat both at sea and in the air,” the statement from the Chinese foreign ministry indicates.

The document specifies that Tokyo is attempting to shift the responsibility for the incident involving the "radar targeting" by China on Japanese aircraft onto Beijing, thus misleading the international community and exacerbating tensions.
“All these actions are driven by hidden intentions. In response, China expresses its strong protest. We demand that Japan immediately cease its dangerous actions that hinder the conduct of planned exercises, as well as stop its unfounded propaganda and political manipulation,” emphasized the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As noted by the ministry, China rejects Tokyo's protests on this issue and is taking reciprocal measures.

Earlier, Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi reported that Chinese J-15 fighters, which took off from the aircraft carrier Liaoning, twice targeted their radars on Japanese F-15s southeast of Okinawa. This incident occurred against the backdrop of deteriorating relations between the two countries, triggered by recent statements from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takachi regarding Taiwan.
