The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Mejnun Mamedov. During this discussion, the main focus was on strengthening bilateral ties, including increasing trade turnover in agriculture, developing processing, as well as veterinary and phytosanitary cooperation. The possibilities of implementing advanced agricultural technologies were also considered.
As part of the visit, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic visited the Baku Shipyard, the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, and the Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in the capital of Azerbaijan.
At the Baku Shipyard, the delegation was presented with information about the capabilities of the enterprise in the construction of ferries and other vessels that can be used to service the routes of the Trans-Caspian Corridor. The prospects for cooperation with the Kyrgyz side in shipbuilding and the operation of ferries for transport and logistics needs were discussed.
At the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, the Kyrgyz delegation was acquainted with modernization projects and deep processing of oil. The possibilities of cooperation in the supply of petroleum products and the exchange of experience in improving energy efficiency and adhering to environmental standards were also discussed.
During the visit to the Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in Baku, the important role of this institution in promoting Kyrgyz products in the Azerbaijani market and expanding business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries was emphasized. The need to expand the range of goods and activate joint business initiatives was discussed.
The parties confirmed their commitment to filling the strategic partnership with specific projects in the fields of agriculture, transport, energy, and trade.
As part of the visit, the delegation also paid tribute to the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva.
