In the last three years, the Collective Forces of the CSTO have conducted 20 joint exercises, including both command-staff and special operations. This was reported by the organization's press service.
Among the most significant events, the exercises "Interaction" with rapid response forces, peacekeeping maneuvers "Indestructible Brotherhood," and operations in the Central African Republic called "Border" can be highlighted.
In addition, special attention was paid to the actions of special formations, within which the following areas were practiced:
⏺ reconnaissance operations ("Search"),
⏺ logistical support ("Echelon"),
⏺ protection against CBRN threats ("Barrier"),
⏺ special forces operations ("Cobalt"),
⏺ work of rescue units ("Rock").
As part of enhanced operational work, in particular during the operation "Mercenary," more than 2,500 individuals linked to terrorism were detained, while the operation "Illegal" revealed over 257,000 violations of migration legislation. The CSTO's information emphasizes that the training of the organization's forces has significantly strengthened, taking into account the experience of modern conflicts and new security challenges.
