The attacker also sprayed pepper spray in the face of 32-year-old security guard Dmitry Pavlov. According to reports, the teenager had meticulously prepared for the attack and even told one of the teachers that he would soon end up in prison. The school lacks metal detectors, only having regular turnstiles, which allowed him to bring a knife and possibly a homemade explosive device without hindrance.
According to the Telegram channel Baza, the teenager assembled a fake device resembling an explosive in the bathroom and planned to plant it in one of the classrooms. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the attack under several articles, including "Murder," as noted by the Investigative Committee of the Moscow region.
The name of the deceased fourth grader is Kobiljon A., and the attacker is Timofey K. He specifically sought out math teacher Maria Dmitrievna, but she was not present at the time. The educators learned about the attack through school chats, and the teachers locked the doors to protect the children.
Timofey arrived at the beginning of the school day, changed clothes in the bathroom, and spent about eight minutes searching for his victim. The first reports of the incident began to arrive at 9:30, and around 10:15, the teenager was detained.
After the attack, Timofey took a selfie against the backdrop of his victim, while his T-shirt read "No Lives Matter," which is the name of a misanthropic group advocating for violence and terrorist acts. This phrase is a distortion of the slogan "Black Lives Matter."
