In the Batken region, research aimed at determining potential gas reserves will soon begin at the Pidap site. This was reported by the press service of the presidential representative in the region.
On December 20, Aibek Shamenov, the head of the region, visited unused gas wells located near the village of Oruk-Zar in the Akturpak rural district of the Kadamjai district. After the visit, Shamenov instructed the district akim Bolot Bayake uulu to organize activities for assessing gas reserves. He also suggested sending requests to the relevant ministries for conducting necessary research and establishing cooperation with professionals in this field.

According to the information from the department, from 2007 to 2014, a Chinese company conducted geological exploration work at the Pidap site, which included studying and drilling oil and gas fields. However, this project was suspended due to high costs. Currently, data on gas reserves in this area is unavailable.

New research will help determine the possibilities for further development of the site.
