The university's rector, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Abdilbayet Mamasydykov, delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating the students on their successes and highlighting the importance of their pursuit of knowledge, as well as their activity in creative and sports fields. He added that students who contribute to the development of the university can always count on support.
During the event, the following awards were presented:
— 10 students distinguished in studies and public activities received an annual scholarship of 5,000 soms from the family of Batyraly Sydykov;
— 64 students who achieved success in science and sports were awarded monetary prizes of 2,000 soms from the university;
— The Youth Affairs Committee of the Osh City Hall presented Honorary Certificates to 3 students.
As of today, about 15,000 students are studying at KUMU, and the university actively implements support and encouragement programs for students for their achievements.
The event concluded with a New Year festive concert organized for the students.
