In a solemn atmosphere, the university's rector, academician Rysbek Nurgaziev, as well as Karina Balyan, the daughter of the founder of the Professor Balyan Foundation, Grigory Aikazovich, and the director of the Foundation, candidate of agricultural sciences Balyan Samson, were present. Among the participants were vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of structural divisions, teachers, and students.
Rector Nurgaziev addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that the university is proud of its rich history and noted that over more than 90 years of its existence, it has prepared many outstanding scholars and statesmen, including the famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, three-time Hero of Socialist Labor Tashtanbek Akmatov, and other well-known figures.
In his speech, the rector highlighted the importance of qualities such as education, spirituality, morality, culture, responsibility, hard work, and patriotism, which are the foundation for achieving success: "These are the values on which you can build your future and realize your potential."
Nurgaziev also expressed gratitude to the Foundation team and personally to Balyan Heinrich Grigoryevich for their support of the K.I. Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University.
Since 2011, the Foundation has been providing scholarships to 15 students in the amount of 5000 soms monthly. At this event, the Professor G.A. Balyan Foundation awarded scholarships to 20 students who excelled in their studies and active public life, as well as in republican Olympiads, scientific projects, and competitions, and who are proficient in foreign languages.
Additionally, the Foundation actively supports scientific and practical conferences, sports events, and competitions in artistic creativity. The director of the Foundation, S. Balyan, noted that they plan to support interesting student startups that can benefit not only the academic community but society as a whole.
The event concluded with a concert program prepared by the artists of the Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic and the university students.
