During the meeting, important issues related to legislative activities and the work of the parliament were discussed. Participants expressed various opinions and proposals on these topics, as reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Turgunbek uulu noted that the Jogorku Kenesh serves as a key branch of power in Kyrgyzstan. “The implementation of necessary reforms and projects for the state is impossible without the consideration of the parliament. Candidates for positions in other branches of power must also undergo discussion in the Jogorku Kenesh. It is important for each body to understand its duties and responsibilities,” the speaker added.
Discussing the legislative process, he emphasized that the relevant committees are required to thoroughly work on draft laws before they are submitted for a general vote in parliament.
In addition, Turgunbek uulu stressed that the principles of transparency and freedom of speech will be strictly adhered to in the Jogorku Kenesh. He noted that deputies will be able to openly express their opinions on any issues, and all meetings will be broadcast live to a wide audience.
