
During the New Year's reception for diplomats, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, emphasized that the modern world is facing serious transformations that lead to increased global instability and new challenges in the field of international security.
He noted that the current system of international relations and collective security is undergoing serious tests due to regional conflicts, climate-related threats, and the rapid progress of new technologies. In this context, the minister highlighted the importance of international organizations, especially the United Nations, stating that despite criticism of multilateral institutions, they remain the primary tools for preventing global catastrophes.

The minister also reminded that Kyrgyzstan has put forward its candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for the years 2027-2028. Elections for this body are scheduled for June 3 at the UN headquarters in New York. The head of the foreign ministry expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz side would do everything possible to gain broad international support and expressed hope for support from friendly countries and partners.

In conclusion of his speech, the minister thanked the heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations for their contribution to the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and confirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic and its diplomatic service for open and constructive dialogue aimed at achieving peace, security, and sustainable development.
