In Kyrgyzstan, 220 schools have been equipped with educational laboratory equipment and ICT tools

In Kyrgyzstan, an upgrade has taken place in 220 cluster schools, which have been equipped with modern educational laboratory equipment for STEM disciplines and information and communication technology (ICT) tools. This innovation aims to implement a practice-oriented and digital approach to education.

According to the Ministry of Education, this equipment delivery is part of the state program "Altyn Kazyq," which encompasses large-scale changes in the country's educational system, including the integration of modern technologies and the strengthening of STEM education in general educational institutions.

Each of the mentioned schools received 25 sets of laboratory equipment, allowing for a wide range of school and research laboratory activities. In total, 5,500 sets of laboratory equipment, as well as 220 interactive panels and an equal number of laptops, were supplied for the 220 cluster schools.

The equipment allows for laboratory experiments related to mechanics, electricity, optics, chemistry, and biology. It provides accurate measurements as well as the collection and analysis of experimental data, helping to develop students' scientific research skills and their ability to work with new measuring technologies.

Interactive panels and powerful laptops enable the management of laboratory work, visualization of experimental results in real-time, demonstration of digital models, and processing of data from project and research activities.

The use of new equipment contributes to the development of subject knowledge, practical skills, as well as digital literacy and research thinking among students, which in turn improves the quality of teaching natural science subjects.

Special training events have also been conducted for the teachers of these schools, aimed at the effective use of educational laboratory and ICT equipment.

The Ministry noted that these 220 schools represent cluster institutions of 53 innovative schools, which serve as experimental platforms for testing new educational standards and implementing modern technologies in the educational process, as well as for improving teacher qualifications.
