At a recent meeting, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev spoke about plans for the digitalization of the parliament's work. According to him, deputies face the problem of a lack of time to familiarize themselves with the large amount of materials and draft laws submitted to the committees.

“When documents arrive on Friday, many do not have the opportunity to study them over the weekend, and committee meetings already begin on Monday. We plan to implement a digitalization project. As part of this, 90 tablets will be purchased for the deputies. Every Friday, all necessary materials will be sent in electronic format. Four folders will be created for different categories: plenary sessions, committees, deputy groups, and specific issues,” he added.

In addition, there are plans to optimize the participation of representatives from ministries and agencies in committee meetings. If a minister cannot attend, their online connection will be ensured.

The Speaker also reported on the development of a public reception office, which will include online receptions for citizens without the need for travel to the regions. It is planned to open five reception offices for deputy groups at the parliament building, as well as to create comfortable waiting conditions by equipping rooms for mothers with children.
