Edil Baysalov outlined the priorities for cultural policy development

On February 19, a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy took place at the National Historical Museum, with the participation of Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the government reports.

Members of the Ministry's board, representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh, as well as heads of regional departments and structural units also participated in the event.

During his speech, Edil Baisalov emphasized the importance of the cultural sphere for strengthening national identity and uniting society.

He stressed: "Culture is the foundation of national identity. We need to actively support its development, encourage creative initiatives, and ensure equal access for citizens to cultural values."

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet pointed out priority areas, including support for regional cultural programs, the development of modern art forms, and the creation of conditions for the potential of youth to be realized.

"The future of the nation is the youth. Government bodies must continue to protect the interests of the new generation and create conditions for their full self-expression," Baisalov noted.

He also drew attention to the need to ensure equal access to cultural services for all regions of the country and to promote Kyrgyzstan's historical and cultural heritage on the international stage.

The Ministry was tasked with intensifying efforts to develop publishing, modernizing the library network by creating coworking and community centers, building modern houses of culture, and initiating an international scholarship program for young performers.

In conclusion, Edil Baisalov expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the planned initiatives and called for a focus on fulfilling the set tasks.
