Turmush previously reported that during Mailibashev's tenure, the city's budget increased threefold: from 179 million 294 thousand soms in 2021 to 518 million 862 thousand soms by 2026.
Work has been carried out in the city to asphalt major streets, reconstruct the Public Service Center (PSC), implement a unified design code, and open a new Youth Park.
Additionally, the city administration decided to abandon the shooting of stray dogs. Since 2022, humane methods have been used to regulate the animal population in Kant. In collaboration with Kyrgyz-French organizations, sterilization, vaccination, and tagging of dogs are being conducted. This initiative was implemented in response to the increasing number of complaints about animal attacks.
According to the city administration, several projects are planned for launch by 2026, some of which are already in the implementation stage:
Among them is a waste processing plant costing 20 million dollars, 70% of the funding for which is provided by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), with the remaining 30% covered by private business. Construction work will be carried out by a Russian company.
A project worth 6 million euros has also been prepared, and its implementation will begin shortly.
The construction of the first crisis center in the eastern part of the Chui region is planned.
This year, a new school for 500 students will be built in Kant, which will be fully furnished. With the support of the World Bank, the construction of an additional building for 250 students for the second school will also begin.
Documents are being prepared for the establishment of a new municipal market.
