In Naryn, among the students of secondary school No. 9 named after Abdykadir Sadikov, stands out a young man named Shabildiev Aset Akylovich, which is a rarity for this region.

Aset not only has an unusual name but has also achieved success in his studies and sports, being one of the best students in his school. A Turmush correspondent spoke with him about his future and how his name came about.

According to Aset, he strives to graduate with honors. He actively participates in extracurricular activities and engages in self-development, noting that school has not only given him knowledge but has also helped him make true friends and gain experience from older peers.

Sports also play an important role in the young man's life. He previously practiced boxing, and is currently focused on volleyball, participating in interschool tournaments. "Sports instills discipline and endurance. It is the foundation of my life," he asserts.

As for his choice of future profession, Aset has already decided — he wants to work in the customs service. "I aspire to become a customs officer because controlling imported goods in Kyrgyzstan is an important task. It is necessary to prevent dangerous cargoes, such as drugs and harmful products, especially for children. I believe that protecting my country is the duty of every citizen," the young man shares.

The origin of Aset's name intrigues many. "My name was given to me by my father's sister. When she was in Kazakhstan, she liked it very much — there is a large mosque named after Aset there. I heard that this name means 'ray' and 'earth'," the schoolboy said.

Aset also noted that due to the rarity of his name, sometimes new teachers confuse him with more common names like "Asel" or "Asek." In such cases, he reacts calmly, explaining: "My name is Aset."
