During the XIX session of the city council in Osh, the deputies expressed dissatisfaction with the state of greening in the city. The main topic of discussion was the inefficiency of tree planting on key streets, despite significant budget investments.

Deputy Gulnaz Isaeva, representing the "Yntymak" faction, criticized the work of the landscaping and greening enterprise. She cited the example of B. Osmonov Street, where the planted trees, which were expensive, have almost all dried up. "We allocate huge funds for greening. How many of the planted trees have survived? There is not a single living seedling on B. Osmonov Street from those costly ones that were purchased. The previous vice-mayor assured us that they would take root, and we supported this project. Who will be responsible for these losses?" Isaeva stated.

Azamat Sovetbek uulu, the head of the municipal enterprise, acknowledged the existence of the problem but pointed to external factors that affected the situation. He noted that the transplanted juniper trees, which were planted on Osmonov and Kurmanjan-Datka streets, did not survive due to the abnormal heat in spring. Out of 30 maples donated to the city, only 8 survived, despite regular care and the use of fertilizers. However, he also added that the trees planted in the Ak-Tilek microdistrict have fully taken root.

Deputy Mayor Ernis Toltoev promised to conduct an inspection on-site together with the relevant services and prepare a detailed report. He reminded that a three-month beautification campaign has been announced in the city.

Mayor Janar Akayev emphasized that greening remains a priority direction for the municipality. However, considering the financial difficulties and problems with the survival of seedlings, he appealed to patrons for help: "I ask sponsors to provide support and purchase quality seedlings for the city to make Osh green," he stated.

In March 2025, Osh Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev participated in a tree planting campaign and reported that each seedling was purchased for 255 dollars. He noted that the project was carried out with the support of sponsors, and the seedlings were delivered with soil, which gave hope for their good growth.

On March 14, 2025, 100 seedlings of red-leaved maple and blue spruces were planted in Osh, with prices ranging from 200 to 250 dollars each. These plants, about three meters tall, were grown in Uzbekistan and were planted along the roadside from Navoi Street to G. Aitieva Street.
