Recently, the television channel "Osh TV" received the status of a municipal institution, as reported earlier. The speaker of the Osh city council, Bolot Bayetov, noted that on April 16, the city council approved a draft resolution regarding the transformation of the television channel.
According to him, now "Osh TV" will operate as a municipal economic institution with the right to earn from advertising and other commercial projects, as well as receive subsidies from the city hall.
- Previously, the television channel belonged to the State Property Management Fund, but during the reorganization, it was transferred to the city hall of Osh.
- For the year 2025, from the city budget, which amounts to 3 billion 425 million 313 thousand soms, 2 million soms have been allocated to the channel "Osh TV" in the form of subsidies.
As reported in July 2022, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers announced the transfer of 100% of the state share of the limited liability company "Television and Radio Company 'Osh TV'" to the municipal ownership of the city hall of Osh. This decision was made at a regular government meeting.
According to the information, this decision is aimed at developing the television channel, which will cover city issues and the work of municipal services, as well as the lives of ordinary citizens.
According to the decision of the Jalal-Abad City Court dated October 28, 2011, the LLC "Television and Radio Company 'Osh TV'" was confiscated in favor of the state, after which the sole founder became the State Property Management Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
As reported by Turmush, the founder of the television channel was Khalil Khudayberdiev, who managed it for 20 years. After the events of June 2010, he left Kyrgyzstan and, as it became known later, is in the USA.
The television company "Osh TV" was also involved in legal disputes, in which the name of the Russian Maxim Krotov was mentioned among its owners.
