According to a Turmush correspondent, the event was opened by the presidential representative in the Issyk-Kul region, Bakytbek Zhetigenov, who announced President Sadyr Japarov's decree appointing the new head of the city.
According to Article 71 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Law on Local State Administration and Local Self-Government Bodies, Talantbek Oruskulovich Imankulov officially became the mayor of Karakol.
In his address to those present, Imankulov emphasized the significance of the upcoming tasks. "It is a great honor for me to serve the city of Karakol, and I realize the full responsibility that has been placed on me. I am ready to work tirelessly to justify your trust. We are focused on implementing large-scale projects aimed at developing the tourism sector, modernizing urban infrastructure, and improving the economy," stated the new mayor.
During the meeting, information was also shared about the professional experience of the new mayor, which includes work in various government institutions. Previously, he held positions such as head of the National Investment Agency and Minister of Digital Development.
