President of the United States Donald Trump stated the possibility of completely destroying Iran's energy infrastructure, as reported by CNN.

“We are capable of striking Tehran and other regions in such a way that the recovery of the country will become almost impossible. This is not what we want, but we can destroy their power grid in just one hour, and it will take them 25 years to recover,” Trump noted.

Meanwhile, actions by the American side are losing support among the Iranian opposition. According to the Financial Times, many opponents of the regime no longer approve of military attacks by the U.S. on their country.

After the death of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, as a result of a joint strike by the U.S. and Israel, some Iranians hoped for the regime's downfall. However, the wave of bombings, destruction, and civilian casualties exceeding a thousand people led to a change in opinions. Even those who previously protested are shocked by the scale of the destruction and are beginning to doubt that external intervention can bring positive changes.

“We shouldn’t have been bombed,” commented a young Iranian after a strong explosion near her home.

“Our city, our country — this shouldn’t have happened. Why did the change of power in Venezuela happen bloodlessly, but not for us?” Against the backdrop of military actions, many Iranians have begun to feel a strengthening of national unity and fear of the possible disintegration of the country. As a result, those who previously desired change at any cost now assert that peace and stability should be the priority, even if reforms occur within the system.

What else is happening?

According to U.S. intelligence data, there are no signs of the imminent collapse of the ayatollah regime in Iran, despite nearly two weeks of military strikes, reports Reuters.

A source states that most analysts agree that the Iranian leadership maintains control over the situation and the population. One source noted that intelligence reports indicate no threat of regime collapse.

Thus, finding an acceptable way out of the conflict may be difficult if Iranian leaders remain in power.

Sources emphasize that the Iranian leadership maintains unity even after the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Israeli officials in closed meetings have also expressed doubts that the war will lead to the downfall of the ayatollahs.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was injured as a result of a U.S. strike, but his condition is stable.

Iran attacked six commercial vessels in the Persian Gulf over the past day, as reported by the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

Three of these vessels sustained serious damage, with one person killed. Since the beginning of the conflict, Iran has attacked 13 commercial vessels in this area.

A missile also hit an Italian military base in Erbil, Iraq, as reported by the Italian Ministry of Defense. The military had to take shelter in a bunker, and no one was injured, according to Al Jazeera.

Earlier, a U.S. base in the same region was attacked using drones.

According to The Washington Post, the building of a girls' school in Iran, which was struck during the U.S. and Israeli military operation, may have been mistakenly identified as a military facility.

According to one informant, the building was identified as a factory and became the target of the strike. A second source added that there was a weapons depot near the school. However, it is unclear whether the strike on the school was accidental or if it was a deliberate attack based on incorrect intelligence.

Two Israeli officials denied the IDF's involvement in the attack on the school, claiming that this target was not discussed with the Israeli army. Two sources also confirmed that a preliminary Pentagon investigation indicates that the responsibility for the strike lies with the U.S.

According to state media, drones struck Kuwait International Airport.

According to the state news agency, citing the Civil Aviation Authority, several drones attacked Kuwait International Airport.

The message on the X platform states that the attack caused “material damage, but there were no casualties among people.”
