The Department for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek, in collaboration with the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, conducted inspections of private employment agencies on March 16-17, 2026.
During the inspections, it was established that a number of agencies were carrying out their activities to send citizens abroad without the necessary permits (licenses), which contradicts current legislation. As a result of the identified violations, the operations of five agencies were temporarily suspended. These organizations were held administratively liable, and each was fined 55,000 soms, totaling 275,000 soms across all cases.
To prevent fraud and protect citizens' rights, it is strongly recommended to contact only officially registered and licensed agencies. You can check the availability of licenses for employment agencies on the website: migrant.kg.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek urges citizens to be cautious when choosing intermediaries for employment abroad and to avoid dubious offers.
