According to the press service of OshSU, the memorandum was signed on April 6 during the visit of Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov to China. The meeting took place in Xi'an, where representatives of the two universities discussed the main areas of joint work.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will cover several key areas:
- Academic mobility: the creation of exchange programs for students and faculty.
- Scientific activity: joint research, holding international conferences and seminars.
- Experience exchange: the introduction of modern teaching methods and the exchange of scientific materials.
- Innovations: joint development and implementation of technological projects.
Kudayberdi Kozhobekov will also speak at the international university forum, where he will discuss the future of higher education.
Xi'an Jiaotong University was founded in 1896 and is rightly considered one of the most prestigious universities in China. The institution is renowned for its high level of training specialists in the fields of engineering, technology, medicine, and economics. In addition, the university is a member of C9 (C9 League) — an alliance of the nine top universities in the country, similar to the American Ivy League.
