Local residents who arrived in the morning are still waiting for their turn by evening.
Shekerbek Pusurov, who came to the hospital for his disabled daughter's surgery, could not wait for his turn. Some patients who arrived the day before or even earlier were forced to leave the facility due to excuses from the doctors.
“We arrived at 09:30 and registered under number 27. A lot of time has passed, and only the 15th turn has come up. The registrar demands 200 soms from each. Moreover, the sanitary condition of the hospital leaves much to be desired: there is a dusty smell in the corridors, and the items stacked along the walls are dirty,” he reported.
Pusurov added that many patients who came on previous days also left the facility without being seen.
The chief physician, Tarynby Abdykadyrova, confirmed the presence of long queues, explaining that there are only two doctors working in the hospital, including herself.
“As for the collection of 200 soms for registration, that is impossible. We have installed cameras. Currently, there are only two doctors in the hospital. We have implemented a new corporate information system at ‘Tündük’. It takes about an hour to see one patient. Priority is given to those in serious condition. There can be no talk of sanitary violations. We serve three districts: Kara-Suu, Alaï, and Chon-Alai, which leads to high queues. New doctors who come to us stay only for a week, unable to withstand the workload,” she explained.
