Oral Health Day will take place in Kyrgyzstan

On March 26, an event called "Oral Health Day" will take place in Kyrgyzstan, timed to coincide with the International Oral Health Day, which is celebrated on March 20. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Health of the country.

The main goal of this event is to prevent dental diseases among children and to raise public awareness about the importance of regular dental check-ups. There will also be an emphasis on fostering a culture of oral health and the responsibility of each individual for their own health and the health of their children.

As part of the event, dentists in Kyrgyzstan will provide:

preventive check-ups for children;

professional oral hygiene;

sealants for the fissures of permanent teeth in children aged 6 to 14;

training on proper oral hygiene methods.

What is meant by sealing fissures?

Sealing fissures is an effective preventive method that protects children's chewing teeth from cavities.

Fissures are natural grooves on the chewing surface of teeth where food particles and bacteria often accumulate. The use of a special protective material allows these areas to be "sealed" and prevents the development of cavities.

The procedure is painless and safe, and is especially effective during the formation of permanent teeth.

Those wishing to participate in the event are advised to make an appointment in advance at dental clinics in their area. This will help avoid queues and make the visit more comfortable.

The Ministry of Health also promised to provide more detailed information about the clinics participating in this event.
