The creation of a network of dental offices based in educational institutions will become a reality in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported on January 29 in an interview on "Birinchi Radio" by Gulmayram Ibraimova, the chief freelance dentist of the Ministry of Health.

According to her, in February 2025, an interdepartmental order was signed, which unites the efforts of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education to prevent dental diseases among children of preschool and school age.

The main focus of the work of school dental offices will be on preventive measures. This includes not only medical examinations but also educating children and their parents on the basics of oral hygiene, proper nutrition, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle and discouraging harmful habits.

Ibraimova noted that family traditions and daily habits play a key role in the dental health of children, so a comprehensive approach is necessary to address this issue, which includes collaboration between the education system and public health.

In addition, besides opening dental offices in schools, it is planned to conduct outreach preventive examinations. Special teams may be formed for this purpose, which will include clinical residents and graduate students. Nearby schools and kindergartens will also be able to visit these dental offices according to a schedule.
