Today, the Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, visited the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCOMID), where he handed over 10 service vehicles, as promised earlier.
According to the press service of the State Committee for National Security, the new vehicles will help medical personnel respond more quickly to calls and ensure the stable operation of the institution.
During the visit, Tashiev also familiarized himself with the completely renovated territory of the center, which has not been done since 1995. The area of 4,400 square meters has been fully updated: cleaning and leveling have been carried out, new asphalt has been laid, lighting installed, and landscaping completed. This has created safe and comfortable conditions for both staff and patients.
“The reconstruction of the territory is not the only project initiated by Kamchybek Tashiev. A new road connecting the center with Tynalieva Street has also been built, significantly improving transport accessibility. The center has also received modern medical equipment, including an endoscopic ultrasound machine and other state-of-the-art devices, such as a video gastroscope and video bronchoscope,” the press release states.
The measures implemented on Tashiev's instructions aim to strengthen the material and technical base of NCOMID, improve the working conditions of medical staff, and enhance the quality of medical care provided to women and children.
It is noted that NCOMID is one of the leading medical institutions in the country, providing highly specialized assistance. Every year, about 30,000 children receive inpatient treatment at the center, up to 15,000 operations of varying complexity are performed, and outpatient care is provided to approximately 150,000 children. About 6,000 children are born annually at the perinatal center.
