According to the statement by Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev, more than 80% of deaths in Kyrgyzstan are due to chronic non-communicable diseases. The main risk factors include smoking, alcohol consumption, a sedentary lifestyle, and poor nutrition. This information was presented at the "Healthy Society – 2026" forum held in Moscow, as reported by the ministry's press service.
Kadyraliev noted that effective prevention requires measures not only in the healthcare sector but also within the framework of intersectoral cooperation and regulation to create conditions for a healthier lifestyle.

The Ministry of Health also emphasizes the implementation of clinical protocols for the early detection of hypertension, diabetes, and other diseases, as well as the development of digital technologies in medicine and enhancing the role of nurses in preventive activities.
Additionally, programs promoting active longevity are in place, school health committees are being established, and information campaigns aimed at supporting a healthy lifestyle are being conducted.
In conclusion, the deputy minister emphasized that successful prevention of chronic diseases requires a combination of government policy, interagency cooperation, and active communication with the population, which will help reduce premature deaths and improve citizens' health.
