In the context of the border conflict with Cambodia, Thailand's tourism industry is demonstrating resilience. According to information provided by Nithi Sipra, Deputy Head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand for Marketing and Communications, foreign travelers continue to visit the country without any changes to their plans.
“Tourism in Thailand is in a stable condition. We do not observe cancellations of bookings at popular resorts,” he emphasized, referring to data from the government’s public relations department. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports previously clarified that the current conflict with Cambodia does not threaten the safety of tourists, and the government is ready to protect their interests.
At the same time, Thai authorities have increased security at Bangkok airports, such as Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang, as well as at the air hubs in Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hat Yai. These measures are aimed at preventing the possible infiltration of mercenaries due to the escalation of the conflict with Cambodia.
