As a result of the work of the customs authorities, a scheme for sending drugs through international postal services was uncovered, organized by a 32-year-old citizen who is currently residing in Thailand.
According to the committee, on October 30, a 31-year-old man was detained in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent after receiving a package from abroad, which was supposed to contain sweets according to the documents. However, in reality, the box contained 414 grams of hashish.
During the investigation, his 33-year-old accomplice was detained, who was found at his home with 47 packages containing 45 grams of mephedrone.
The second stage of the operational activities took place on November 11, 2025, during which 490.5 grams of hashish were discovered in a courier package, allegedly sent from Thailand.
A 32-year-old man who came for this shipment was also detained, as well as a 26-year-old citizen who received the drugs from the detainee in the Sergeli district.
Criminal cases have already been initiated in connection with the above-mentioned facts.
