Three people died as a result of a traffic accident that occurred in the West Kazakhstan region. This is reported by Kazakhstani media, citing data from the local police department.
According to law enforcement agencies, the tragedy happened on December 16 at 20:30 on the Uralsk — Kirsanova highway, near the village of Volodarskoye. The driver of a KIA K5, born in 1989, lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a VAZ-2104, driven by a man born in 1974.
As a result of the collision, the driver and two passengers of the VAZ-2104 died at the scene. Another passenger of this vehicle was urgently hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with part 4 of article 345 of the Criminal Code. The driver of the KIA K5 was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Additionally, as reported by the media, a mass traffic accident involving seven vehicles occurred earlier in the Akmolinsk region, resulting in one person dying at the scene and two others being hospitalized.
