Russia and Ukraine have carried out a new exchange of the bodies of fallen soldiers.
According to information provided by the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, Ukraine has received back 1003 bodies, which, according to the Russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen.
Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky reported that in accordance with the agreements reached in Istanbul, Ukraine was handed over 1000 bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers, while Russia received back 26 bodies of its servicemen.
This exchange was made possible with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
