Recently, ten prosecutors from Mongolia participated in the "Open World" program organized by the Congressional Office for International Leadership.

The "Open World" initiative, implemented by the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL), is a U.S. government-funded program. It aims to engage promising leaders from post-Soviet countries and other regions in 10-day professional exchange programs designed to foster mutual understanding and democratic values through active engagement with American colleagues, members of Congress, and host families. It also helps strengthen ties with future world leaders.

This program was established in 1999 to strengthen cultural and political ties with Russia, but later expanded its horizons to include other post-Soviet countries.

The program involves young, talented, and non-political leaders, such as future parliamentarians, prosecutors, judges, as well as representatives from the media, healthcare, and education sectors from Europe, Eurasia, and the Indo-Pacific region.

During their ten-day stay in the U.S., the Mongolian prosecutors had the opportunity to study the American legal system. They interacted with prosecutors, judges, and law enforcement officials, as well as state and local officials in Washington, D.C.; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Bedford, Texas.

Additionally, the program participants attended cultural and community events, including schools, museums, and local happenings. By staying with American families, they were able to gain a unique experience of everyday life in the U.S., deepen their cultural understanding, and form strong personal connections.
