As claimed by the American side, as a result of this operation, President Nicolás Maduro and his wife were detained in Caracas. Delsi Rodríguez was appointed as the acting president of Venezuela. Initially, she sharply condemned the actions of the U.S. and demanded Maduro's release. However, she then reached out to Trump with a call for cooperation, stating that Venezuelans "deserve peace, not conflict."
This statement came against the backdrop of Trump's threats of possible new strikes if Venezuela does not agree to cooperate. He also warned Rodríguez of serious consequences in case of refusal.
