According to information from the publication Interesting Engineering, Parkie allows cars to be parked without driver involvement. To do this, it is necessary to leave the car in a designated area, after which the robot will independently find a free parking space. Upon departure, the car will be returned to the owner in the same manner.

The system is already actively used in multi-level parking lots, where several robots can operate simultaneously.

One of the main challenges in implementing Parkie was ensuring reliable wireless communication, as in parking conditions saturated with concrete and metal, standard Wi-Fi networks can function unstably.
